What You Will Do
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plan
- Execute and evaluate test cases and report test results
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
Your Knowledge and Skills
- Solid experience in the eCommerce industry with platforms such as Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, SFCC
- Understanding of eCommerce business workflows, scenarios and use-cases both for customers and merchants
- A solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and the tools helping you as a QA engineer catch them
- Writing clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented person with an eye for good UI/UX
- Understanding of the basics of good user experience
- Team player
- Reasonably good communication skills
- Quick learner (we will be providing a lot of various training and expect the you will be “hungry” for new knowledge)
Technologies and Tools
- “Power user” experience with platforms such as Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, SFCC, etc.
- Issue tracking tools (Jira, Wrike, etc)
- Documentation tools, such as Confluence, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
- QA tools, such as BrowserStack, TestRail, browser dev tools
- Hands-on Experience in API and/or Load testing would be a plus
